  ART & CRAFT MARKET             Cambridge

Apply to join

If you are an artist/craftsperson, you might like to join us! You must be selling work you make yourself (though your friends/family can help you to run the stall). Your work must be of good quality, and distinctive in design from that of existing stallholders. Although we wouldn't necessarily expect you to take the plunge all at once, as a professional market we really need people who want to exhibit regularly rather than on an occasional basis.

Initially, please send an expression of interest by completing our on-line form. If this meets the Council's criteria, there will be a longer hard copy form to fill in. You may be asked to bring some samples of your work to the market to show Chris Nunn. If he is happy with your work, and there is a space available, he will then probably invite you to try the market for a few weeks to see how things go.

You will also need public liability insurance.

Stalls currently cost £25 for Saturdays, £12 on weekdays.

Tables are provided, but no shelter. A sheet of plastic to fling over the table might be enough to start with - or you can rig up a cheap and easy roof using a wallpaper pasting table, plastic tubing and 4 bungees (come to the market, ask for Derek Langley or Chris Nunn and they'll show you how!)

Good luck, and we hope to see you soon ...
